A Build Day is a hands-on volunteer experience where community members come together at a construction site to help build safe, affordable housing for local families. Volunteers work alongside construction staff and experienced crew leaders to complete a variety of tasks depending on the stage of the home, which may include framing, painting, landscaping, siding, insulation, or site cleanup.
No prior construction experience is needed—training, tools, and safety guidance are provided on-site. Each volunteer plays an important role in moving the project forward, and every task completed helps bring a family one step closer to stable housing and long-term security.
Build Days are also a chance to connect with others in the community, learn new skills, and see firsthand the impact of collective effort. Whether it’s your first time on a site or you’ve volunteered before, every contribution helps build more than a house—it helps build opportunity and stability for families.
